This eye-catching pale celadon gaiwan is a lovely way to prepare your tea. Consisting of a cup, saucer, and lid, a gaiwan is a small tea brewing vessel traditionally used in China. Similar to a teapot, you can infuse your tea leaves directly in the gaiwan before decanting your brewed tea to a smaller cup or cups.

Gaiwans are thought to be especially well-suited to brewing delicate green and white teas, but can be used with any type of tea.
