Ceylon Black Tea

Ceylon Black Tea

Our Ceylon black tea is a rich, smooth and highly aromatic black tea from Koslanda, Sri Lanka’s premier region for tea. It makes a brisk cup with just a hint of spice, and is a fine example of Ceylon tea at its best.

Cups Per Package

This tea is carefully blended and packaged by hand in a reusable tin or a resealable kraft bag. Our 3.5 oz. tin or kraft bag makes approximately 40 cups of tea. Our 7 oz. kraft bag makes approximately 80 cups.

Ingredients

Black tea (Origin: Sri Lanka)

Tasting Notes

Brisk and robust with malty, toasty, and spicy notes.

How to Brew Ceylon Tea

Use 1 level teaspoon per 6 oz. water. Heat water to boiling. Steep for 2 to 4 minutes. For best taste, do not over steep. These leaves can also handle a second or even third infusion.

We recommend preparing Ceylon using a teapot, tea infuser, or tea filter. These brewing methods give the tea leaves enough room to expand as the tea steeps, resulting in a richer, more flavorful cup.Ā Ceylon can be enjoyed on its own for a brisk, refreshing cup, and also goes well with a splash of milk and sweetener or as a base for aĀ tea latte.

Ceylon Tea Caffeine Content

Black tea contains aĀ moderate amount ofĀ caffeine,Ā less than half as much as coffee per cup.

Ceylon Tea Benefits

Black teaĀ boosts energy, helps with focus, and is a lower-caffeine alternative to coffee.
